Key Responsibilities:
Perform all levels of preventive maintenance service with thorough and accurate records.
Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important fleet vehicle
parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating machinery
and vehicles.
Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments
such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts and pressure gauges.
General Responsibilities:
Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions, or to ensure they are working
properly.
Use hand tools and power tools to maintain vehicles and repair malfunctions.
Rescue broken down trucks when necessary.
Other projects and tasks as required by the job.
Knowledge & Skills Desired:
Able to effectively use hand and power tools such as screw drivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure
gauges, precision instruments, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, diagnostic equipment,
jacks, and hoists.
Valid U.S. Driver’s license.
Specialized training with experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components
certification preferred.
Five years of practical experience with truck mechanics and maintenance required.
Ability to lift 80 Lbs.
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
