Fleet Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:
 Perform all levels of preventive maintenance service with thorough and accurate records.
 Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
 Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important fleet vehicle
parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
 Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating machinery
and vehicles.
 Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments
such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts and pressure gauges.

General Responsibilities:
 Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions, or to ensure they are working
properly.
 Use hand tools and power tools to maintain vehicles and repair malfunctions.
 Rescue broken down trucks when necessary.
 Other projects and tasks as required by the job.

Knowledge & Skills Desired:
 Able to effectively use hand and power tools such as screw drivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure
gauges, precision instruments, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, diagnostic equipment,
jacks, and hoists.
 Valid U.S. Driver’s license.
 Specialized training with experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components
certification preferred.
 Five years of practical experience with truck mechanics and maintenance required.
 Ability to lift 80 Lbs.

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
